Seahaven Year 11 students surpassed all expectations with an excellent set of results this summer! We set very challenging targets and they met and exceeded these in many cases leading to an overall achievement of above nationally expected progress across the year group.
47% of students attained 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths (against a national target of 42% which would have placed us firmly in the top 25% of schools with a similar ability range), and 55% of students attained a grade C or above in both English and Maths. In a year when the results in these subjects dipped across the country, this is a great achievement.
Several students achieved a string of A and A* grades including Rhiannon Read, Tyler Rutherford, Harriet Woolgar, Francesco Redica and Remi Hickman.
We had individual successes in all subjects, but we are particularly pleased with the students’ achievements in Maths, English, French, Art, Drama, Music and PE this year.
This has been a year of high expectations and ambitions, hard work, excellent relationships between students, parents and staff (even when the going got tough sometimes) and above all a tremendous determination from our students to beat their targets and achieve the very best they could. And they did it.
