Why study PE? 

In PE we strive to ensure that all our pupils receive a well-rounded learning experience when participating in different sporting activities, learning the importance of health and wellbeing and equipping them with the necessary values and tools to achieve in our School and beyond. It is our intention to engage pupils in the possibilities of sport to develop a passion for being active, healthy and the confidence to try new things and build resilience and determination with all they do. 

 

Key Stage 3 Curriculum Information: 

Throughout Key stage 3 students will develop skills across a range of different activities including: 

Football 

Rugby 

Basketball  

Net Games  

Fitness 

Gymnastics/Trampoling  

 

Netball 

Handball  

Dance 

Athletics 

Striking and fielding activities  

 

 

 

  

 

Enrichment to the curriculum: 

As a PE department we offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, fixtures and trips ranging from competitive sports matches to Ski trips. 

We are really looking forward to being able to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

  1. What is the PE kit at Seahaven Academy?  
    Black Seahaven Academy logo t shirt and or sweatshirt, Black bottom half (shorts, tracksuit bottoms or leggings). Additional items are required and can be seen on the school website. 

  1. How will my child be grouped in PE?  
    We are very flexible and will always group students in classes that allow them to make the most progress. 

  1. What extra-curricular clubs do you offer?  
    We are quite flexible and will offer activities that are covered in lessons as well as some additional activities such as Cross fit. 

  1. What course can my child study in PE at key stage 4? 
    At key stage 4 we currently offer a range of courses from Btec PE to GCSE and what we aim to do is provide each student with the course that is most suited to them.
