Key Stage 4 Parent Information

Welcome to our virtual Key Stage 4 information event. The purpose of this event is to share with parents, carers and student's information and guidance that will support independent learning in the preparation for examinations. We will look to address the following widely asked questions:

  • When should I start revision?
  • How do I plan to use my time outside of school?
  • What should my revision look like?
  • As parents how can we help?

We have provided a series of short video clips that demonstrate a range of techniques that could be used to help maximise home learning. To illustrate each technique, it has been applied to a GCSE subject. It is important to stress that each technique could be adapted to suit all subjects taught at Seahaven and the purpose of the video clip is to help students understand how to use each effectively rather than focus upon the subject content.

In addition to support regarding independent learning, we have provided a short section that focuses upon what happens after leaving Seahaven and the college application process.

Guidance on how to structure revision can be found here.
